Zuckerberg Exposes Biden Administration Pressure to Censor COVID Content

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted that Facebook was pressured by the Biden administration to censor COVID-19 content in 2021, including humor and satire. In a letter to House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, Zuckerberg expressed regret over the company’s decisions, stating that government pressure was wrong and that, in hindsight, some content should not have been removed.
He also revealed that Facebook temporarily suppressed a New York Post story about Hunter Biden after an FBI warning about possible Russian disinformation. Zuckerberg acknowledged this was a mistake and outlined changes to prevent similar actions in the future. The White House defended its actions, citing public health and safety concerns.
