Amazon founder Jeff Bezos engaged to girlfriend Lauren Sanchez
We can hear wedding bells for Amazon founder billionaire Jeff Bezos, 59, and American media personality, Lauren Sanchez, 53, as the couple got engaged after being together for nearly 5 years.
The news of the couple getting engaged comes at the time when the duo is on a vacation together in South of France.
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez have been spending time together on the billionaire’s $500 million yacht named Koru, and Sanchez was spotted wearing her engagement ring.
The Amazon boss and the Emmy-winning journalist also attended the premiere of Apple Original Films’ “Killers of the Flower Moon” at the Cannes Film Festival.
In 2019, Bezos and Sanchez made their relationship public after Bezos announced that he and his ex-wife MacKenzie were divorcing.
At the time, Sanchez, the former Good Day LA co-host, was also divorcing her ex-husband Patrick Whitesell, who she was married to for 13 years. Sanchez has two children with Patrick Whitesell as well as a son from a previous relationship with former NFL star Tony Gonzalez.
Bezos was married to MacKenzie Scott for 25 years and they have four children together.
The newly-engaged coupled has grown together over the years and has been going strong since. They have been spotted vacationing together, enjoying numerous events, advocating for climate change and packing in some PDA.
The couple started dating in 2018 and kept their relationship very hush hush.
2022: Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, at their Washington DC home, spoke with CNN and it was their first join sit-down interview , where they spoke about philanthropic projects and traveling to space.
Bezos admires Sanchez and said: “Lauren is the most generous, most big-hearted person that you would ever meet. So, she is an inspiration in that way.”
In this interview with CNN, in terms of what makes their relationship work, Sanchez said: “We’re really great teammates, and we also have a lot of fun together. And we love each other … We always look at each other and we’re the team.”
